Have you ever been stuck on a project and couldn't figure out how to solve whatever problem your dealing with? Don't worry because many of us have, you're not the only one! But depending on your job, getting creative and thinking outside of the box can become more difficult with time. Here are some tips to help you get more creative!
WRITE IT DOWN:
Any idea should be written down whether or not it's related to your work. This is a good brainstorming strategy that allows you to make connections. The benefit of doing this is getting it out of your head, allowing for more thoughts to take place. Eventually your ideas can be used even if it's for a project down the line.
GO FOR A WALK:
If you're getting fed up with a project and cannot figure out a solution, take a walk. This allows your brain to take a second to refresh and gives you time to focus your attention elsewhere. By the time you return you'll be looking at your work with a fresh pair of eyes, eventually obtaining a solution you couldn't see before.
Try something you've never done before. Look at things from a different angle or use materials that you haven't used in a while. Mixing things up can give you a different outcome, hopefully an outcome you can use. Whether good or bad atleast you tried something out and figure out the benefits/mistakes of this experiment.
Hopefully these tips will help you get out of your creative stump and successful give you more ways to become more creative. Exercising these techniques will help you build your creativity through time and allow you to start seeing more connections that are helpful to your projects.
